Melissa has taught piano and music theory to over 200 students in private and group settings over the past fifteen years. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from UC Berkeley, she was very active with her local teaching community in the San Francisco Bay Area as a board member for the Alameda County Branch of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) where she served as Treasurer and Certificate of Merit Chair.
Melissa also has an extensive background in choral music, performing with Voices of Musica Sacra, the San Francisco Choral Society, and most recently as a soprano and accompanist for Corvinus Chamber Chorus, performing music exclusively in the Hungarian language.
She has spent large amounts of time in Central Oregon with friends and family over the past twenty-five years and is happy to finally be a permanent resident of Bend. Melissa especially enjoys working with beginning and intermediate teens and adults.
