Ryan Zwahlen currently lives in Bend, OR, and is quickly establishing himself in the Pacific Northwest music scene. He is Principal Oboe with the Central Oregon Symphony, a substitute with the Eugene Symphony, a founding member of the West Winds Chamber Ensemble, and a woodwind coach for the Central Oregon Youth Symphony.

Ryan offers in-person and virtual lessons in Bend, OR on oboe and flute. He can help students with audition preparation for school, regional and state ensembles, youth orchestras, competitions, college, or for just continued musical enjoyment.

Ryan studied oboe with Nancy Ambrose King, Martin Shuring, and Marion Kuszyk. Additional studies/masterclasses with Russ DeLuna, Laura Griffiths, Rebecca Henderson, Kathryn Greenbank, Diana Doherty, Fred Korman, and Bert Lucarelli. He has worked with Dr. Sophia Tegart and Kate Prestia-Shaub on flute.
